Missouri Botanical Garden to close early on Thanksgiving this year

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - The Missouri Botanical Garden announced it will be closing at noon on Thanksgiving Day this year.

Additionally, the garden will not be hosting Garden Glow on Thanksgiving Day this year. Garden Glow will resume Friday, November 24, at 5 p.m.

The garden’s other branches in Chesterfield and Gray Summit will also close or close early for the holiday.

Missouri Botanical Garden Daytime Hours

  • 4344 Shaw Blvd., St. Louis, MO
  • Thursday, November 23 | Closing at Noon
  • Friday, November 24 | Open 9 a.m.–4 p.m. (last entry at 3:30 p.m.)
  • There will be no early walking hours on Thursday or Friday.

Garden Glow

  • 4344 Shaw Blvd., St. Louis, MO
  • Thursday, November 23 | Closed All Day
  • Friday, November 24 | Open 5 p.m.–9:30 p.m. (last entry at 8:30 p.m.)

Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House

  • 15050 Faust Park, Chesterfield, MO
  • Thursday, November 23 | Closed All Day
  • Friday, November 24 | Open 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Shaw Nature Reserve

  • 307 Pinetum Loop, Gray Summit, MO
  • Thursday, November 23 | Open 8 a.m.–Noon
  • Friday, November 24 | 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

MoBOT also had to cancel its Garden Glow Monday due to rain.

People who had tickets for Monday’s event will be able to use them for entry on another Garden Glow evening through Jan. 6, 2024, with no exchange of tickets being necessary.
