Police: Man charged, admits to killing woman in St. Louis Co.
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - St. Louis County Crimes Against Persons detectives are investigating a homicide in the Spanish Lake neighborhood involving the death of a woman.
According to a release, on March 18 around 2 a.m., officers responded to a call for service to check the welfare in the 1100 block of Soria Street. They located a woman, now identified as Adayshia Jackson, 28, inside the home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges against Darrick Dillon, 47, in connection to the death of Jackson. He has been charged with murder second degree, armed criminal action and three counts of tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.
According to police, Dillon and Jackson were in a relationship, and they had gotten into an argument. Then police allege that Dillon shot Jackson multiple times. Police went on to say that Jackson had run from the house after being shot, but Dillon dragged her body back into the house.
Police said Dillon confessed to his parents and later admitted to shooting Jackson, taking her phone and disposing of the gun in a police interview.
Dillon is being held on $500,000 cash only, no 10% bond.
